Hidden Gems - Songs on Spotify with less than 100,000 Plays
It’s never been easier for people to produce their own music and find an outlet to share it but that doesn’t mean it’ll find the audience it deserves. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite songs that have less than 100,000 plays on Spotify that I felt deserved more attention. I also wanted to give special attention to my favorites. I found most of these songs through Spotify’s Discover and New Release Radar they put out every week.

Falling in Love - Mouse Powell 19,761 plays
A classic tale of a man desperately in love with his friend who doesn’t feel the same way.
A simple beat with some relaxing guitar riffs.
Truffle Trap - The Bishops 76,590 plays
The Bishops have a couple songs close to a million plays but Truffle Trap is my favorite. It’s a very smooth song all around. Crank the bass up on this one.
Bad to the Bone - Lola Coca 4,294 plays
Lola Coca’s biggest hit is Love Songs which I discovered in one of the FIFA video games. Bad to the Bone is the latest release and it’s quite a different sound. It’s almost alternative rock.
Falling - ZenAware 19,636 plays
ZenAware is a great resource if you like electronic music more on the mellow side. Also check out Ur Cute and Wasted Worry.
50 Grand - Parrotfish 12,184 plays
A simple song telling the true story of having to pay 50 grand to get to the afterlife. Parrotfish always has a great bass riff. Also check out Miami.
Still Want More - Eldren 14,617 plays
A catchy chorus and a good guitar solo with a combination of several different elements but nothing ever gets too fancy.
I’m Wrong - Gold Revere 57,944 plays
Starting strong with “I don’t know why. I feel like every day I find another way to fuck up my life.”
The feeling of failure is a shared human experience and they express it with a great beat.
Good Daze - Jazzinuf, Shanin Blake 77,297 plays
A song about depression and anxiety sung with the most relaxed tone and gentle beat. What happened to the good days?
Pull the Plug - The TVC 1,278 plays
A song about getting dumped and the mixed emotions that come with it. Going through the highs and lows of the relationship but ultimately she’s glad they broke it off.

Someone who feels his relationship is bound to fail, expressing the pain in trying. I don’t want to know you, I don’t want to see you, I don’t want to love you, I don’t want to leave you.
secret handshake - Armani White 77,970 plays
Armani became my favorite rapper with “Onederful”. Incredible skill in every song and secret handshake is no exception. I hope he makes it big.
Today - Atwood, Bluknight 65,703 plays
A song about the dreams of becoming successful and taking away the stress, but for now there are bills to pay and you need to grind to pay them.
Atwood has millions of plays on his other songs. I’m not sure why this one went under the radar.
75% to Kilimanjaro - Gold Rock Johnson 56,825 plays
Wondering what it’s like to take the easy way. This one has a Nashville twang to it.
Dangerous - Miss Mojo 33,513 plays
A fantastic bass riff gets me groovin’ every time. It’s one of those songs where you feel like you should already know it.
The New Normal, Pt. I - STLGLD 62,782
A strong political commentary exploring what the new normal is. It’s very far from normal.
Something that we can always use more of is media that speaks truth to power. It’s healthy to take a step back to see where we are.
